o AIA Missouri Design Awards 2005. Honorable Mention in Unbuilt Category. Project: Wonderland Camp Recreational and Educational Facilities (team project in Graduate Studio). 2005.

o 1st Place Winner. Open Architectural Competition for Design of Gulshan Club organized by Gulshan Club and Institute of Architects Bangladesh. 2011.

o Recipient of the 2004 Innovator Award for Advancing Teaching with Technology Award, University of Missouri-Columbia.

o Award of Excellence, 1996 Jurors' Award. American Society of Architectural Perspectivists. Project: Rahman Residence, Dhaka, Bangladesh (built project).

o Recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award. Southern University 1994-95 Faculty Awards.

o Recipient of the College Teacher of the Year Award for Architecture. Southern University 1994-95 Faculty Awards.

o Received an International Award for the paper "Architectural Form-Organization Analysis of Sher-e-Banglanagar: A Tropical Coastal Urban Design" at Haikou International Symposium on Urban Design, Haikou, China. April 1993.

o Tau Sigma Delta; School of Architecture and Environmental Design Honors for academic excellence, 1988. Kent State University.
